The twentieth edition of PLAST, the international exhibition dedicated to the plastics and rubber industry, came to a close on June 12th at Fiera Milano, once again confirming its role as a benchmark event for the sector despite the complex international economic and geopolitical scenario.

The event welcomed 35,000 attendees, 25% of whom came from abroad, representing 110 countries, and featured more than 1,000 exhibiting companies, 44% of which were international, across 40,000 square metres of exhibition space.

Among the distinguishing features of the 2026 edition were the thematic satellite shows RUBBER, 3D PLAST LAB and PLAST MAT, which respectively highlighted the elastomer industry, additive manufacturing and polymeric materials. Innovation also took centre stage, with the participation of around twenty Italian startups showcasing cutting-edge technological solutions for the sector.

The high quality of the professional audience was another particularly significant aspect of the exhibition. Thanks to the collaboration with ICE Agency, PLAST welcomed approximately 9,000 international operators, including more than 350 selected foreign delegates taking part in the incoming program.

The conference and seminar programme also attracted strong participation. Organised with the contribution of trade associations, research organisations and industrial partners, it addressed the key issues shaping the industry, including innovation, sustainability and the evolving regulatory framework.

The next edition of PLAST will take place in 2029, once again at Fiera Milano, Rho. The official dates will be announced shortly.
